About the Role
The Game Technical Artist is responsible for bridging the gap between the artistic and technical aspects of game development. They will work closely with the game development team to ensure that the game's visual and technical requirements are met.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the game development team to understand the technical and artistic requirements for the game
Create and implement game assets and special effects using industry-standard software and tools
Create character art, and design in 2D or 3D
Optimize game assets and special effects for performance and memory usage
Troubleshoot and debug technical issues related to game assets and special effects
Continuously improve the visual quality and performance of the game
Write scripts and tools to optimize work
Animate characters, creatures, and scenery
Creating sound effects, conducting audio mixes and design
Qualifications:
Strong understanding of game development pipelines and tools
Proficient in industry-standard software and tools, such as Blender, Spine, Maya, Photoshop, After Effects, Unity, and Unreal
Strong knowledge of 3D modeling, texturing, and animation
Experience with special effects and particle systems
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Passion for video games and a desire to create visually stunning and technically impressive games.
General
Ability to work on assignments independently
Ability to work in teams as necessary
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of English is required, mention all other known languages
Willing and enthusiastic to learn new art technology and tools
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or related field is preferred. Technical Course in Art and Design is mandatory.
Experience:
5+ years in art and design for Games (self or industry)
1+ years of relevant industry experience
